Graphing Bunny Mallows

Today we practiced building our math skills by graphing Bunny-Mallows! First we sorted our bunnies by color, then we graphed them on our chart. We counted each color, compared colors and quantities, answered questions about fewer and more, and compared our numbers to our friends'. Afterwards we made our own patterns our of our Bunny-Mallows and shared them with our friends.

After all of our hard work we got to taste one of our bunn! It was delicious!

We are so excited that the weather is getting warmer! We have sure missed the playground!

Shape Tulips

We are celebrating the beginning of spring today by making flowers out of shapes. We used ovals, rectangles, triangles, and circles to make beautiful tulips. This activity helped us with shape reinforcement, color recognition, constructing skills, following directions, and fine motor control.

Spring is Near!

There's still snow on the ground outside but we are hopeful because Spring is just a day away! Today we talked about spring showers and flowers! We learned about what a flower needs to survive and we painted and labeled our own. We also made a fun umbrella to keep the rain off of our heads during the upcoming April Showers!

Celebrating St. Pat's and Reading Little Clouds

Today we celebrated St. Patrick's Day! A day late, we know, but yesterday we were covered in snow and a few of our friends were not able to make it into school. We had fun decorating our silly clover glasses while working our hand strength and fine motor control. We look adorable!

Later we read Little Cloud by Eric Carle as we gear up for Spring! We then made our own clouds with ivory soup in the microwave. We watched them grow right before our eyes!
